Annnnnd I'm In!

(That's what he said!)
But for real, I got accepted into University today!!!!! Whoooot! Go me! Check it out!

This was a rather spontaneous decision actually. It just seemed to happen so fast. One minute I was maybe thinking about it and the next I was at the university filling out an application. I probably have Brando to thank for that, he really helped me out with this. He's pretty much helped me with every step of this possible, he's the best! He was so proud of me when I opened my letter too!
Perhaps this is my first step in the right direction..since I haven't really been going in any direction lately. This might be just what I need. In any case, I'm pumped and can't wait for classes to start!

Brando started his new job last weekend which is exciting. I think he'll really like it. I was pretty proud of him when he told me he got the job. Things are starting to look up for us I think.

Brando and I are waiting for a few things to come in the mail and we've got a small bet on what order it will come in. Since we both lost the bet already because neither of us thought my acceptance letter would come first, here is my new bet: My birthday present, Brando's magic cards, my new backpack, Brando's replacement phone and then the free towel we got from the code in our Lucky Charms cereal box. I'm probably just wishing my birthday present comes in next becaue I'm super excited about it. I kinda wish Brando hadn't ruined the surprise though, what a butthole. My birthday is coming up fast though, I can almost smell it! ...or maybe Brando farted, I can't tell.

Father's Day

I guess it's been a while since I've been on here. I can't really say that anything is new. It was Father's Day last Sunday. I got everyone together at Dad's for a BBQ. I baked some sugar cookies and some puffed wheat cake which turned out okay. check it out ^_^

Then I iced them ^_^   The first one is my Dad. He's ALL mustache :)

I also made some cookies and puffed wheat cake for Brando and his Dad. (Since Brando is such a good Dad to Waffles and Brando's Dad is pretty sweet). I iced some cookies for Brando's Dad that said "#2 Dad" :) He really appreciated the baking I did for him :) :) :)

Playing Catch Up

Thursday. Brando's first day out of University. His Mom, Dad, and Ron took us out for supper. Or rather, expected to take Brando out for supper. I guess he didn't tell them he was bringing me. His mom seemed kind of annoyed. o.O  We went to Smittys after for Magic. The guys played Magic and I hung out with them and worked on some jewelry. I took my beaded neck apart because it started to fall apart at supper. Sadface. I started restringing it while we were at Smittys. We went to McDonalds after to hang out and talk then home again. It was just the usually Thursday for us. Nothing new and nothing overly special.
Friday. EARTH DAY!!!!! Brando and I planted sunflowers in the morning. There are six inside in our room and four outside in the backyard. I had lots and lots of fun helping plant them. :) We borrowed Fiddz' car and went to Marketmall to pick up my prescription. When we got home, Brando made me laugh so hard I started crying and little snot bubbles were coming out of my nose! I had to pee really bad so I was just sitting on the floor laughing and crying and I couldn't even stand up to go into the bathroom because I would have peed my pants. Of course Brando is laughing at me. He tried to help me up so he could help me into the bathroom but when he grabbed my arms to pick me up, I stayed in the fetal position so I didn't pee myself. Luckily, he got me into the bathroom before I had an accident!
Later, he went with Ryan to some dudes house to see about buying Magic cards. I just hung out and read my book while he was gone. He was home kind of late so we made a late night supper. It was pretty good for Hamburger Helper!
Saturday was Oma's 80th Birthday Party. I went with Dad, Baba, and Morgan. We stayed just long enough for Supper, the Powerpoint and some speeches. We picked Jesse up, dropped Baba off at home and then we went out to the farm.
Sunday morning, we picked up Logan, Emily, and Noah so they could have Easter with us. Logan convinced me and Emily to go through some bushes looking for antlers. I kept tripping on tree branches and falling off logs. Apparently, rubber boots are not the right footwear for hiking. But in my defense, they sure came in handy! There was quite a bit of water in the bushes and when we walked through a small pond, I was very grateful for them. I managed to make it out of there safely with only a few scratches, some slivers and a very sore back from falling. In the afternoon, everyone else started showing up. Everyone came except Josh, Ashely and their kids. In the afternoon I painted Easter eggs! I had so much fun ^_^  I made one for Brando's mom, one for Heather, and one for Brando. The one for Heather and Brando broke but I made them again. They turned out so cool!
Here is me making Brandos:

This is the one for Brando's Mom all finished ^_^

I really hope she likes it!!!
The next one is Heathers..it has all her favorite colors!!

And last, but certainly not least because I absolutely LOVE this one, is Brando's egg.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love his egg so much LOL
We had our little Easter supper and then some desert and cleaned up then everyone went back to their own devices. Colan and his fake wife didn't spend the night and thus went home after supper. I'm sure that they just wanted to get home so they could pack for their fake wedding.
Dad made us all breakfast in the morning. It was yum! For the most part we all just hung out. Jordan blew out all the Easter eggs for us. It's fun to watch.
Dad took Logan, Emily, and Noah home then came back to the farm because he had to take me and Jesse back into the city. I got all packed up and slept all the way into the city. I stopped at Moms briefly to grab a few things then headed over to Brando's to watch the wrestling drafts!

Unexpected friends

Wednesday. That means Magic at the Lane. I walked to my moms from Brando's in the morning. Was giving him time to study. His last final ever in the morning. I'm so proud of him. I know he'll do great. I didn't do anything at my moms. Tried looking for new jewelry ideas. I really want to "expand." I really enjoy doing it. I didn't expect that I would. Brando's right, having a hobby you like is important.
Time seemed to go by so fast today. Before I knew it, it was time to leave for Magic. Ben and Ben picked me up. I appreciated that. I didn't play tonight but everyone tried to convince me to. I just wasn't feeling it. I talked to "Better Ben" and "Big Gay Jesse" a lot tonight. I don't usually talk to a lot of people there. I wore my new necklace and everyone seemed to think it was really different. They all seemed impressed when I told them I made it.
I showed Jay and Heather my scale flower design. Jay thought is was cool that I did chainmaille and Heather really liked the scale flowers. She said she wanted to buy a couple from me but she's just so sweet, I can't charge her. I'll make her a couple for next week. She was so excited. She gave me a big hug! It's so cool having kids look up to me. I know I'm not always the best influence on kids but I think she really does look up to me. She looks up to Brando too. He helps her out so much with Magic. I can't help but smile when I watch him helping her. He's such a good guy. Heather's my new little friend. She always encourages me to play more which is very cool of her. Sometimes I need a little push and she's so cute and sweet that I can't say no.
When Brando and I got home from Magic, he put his cards away and went to bed. He needs his rest. I went with him but we got into a little fight and by the time I changed my clothes, he was already asleep. (Not to self: something else happened. You wrote it down in a document on your computer. It has to do with the one we don't talk about). Made a new friend. VERY unexpected. I never thought he would ever stop hurting me and promise to protect me forever. Very strange night.
But anyway, on a lighter note, here are the pictures of me wearing my necklace that I promised:

After Brando took a couple pictures, I kissed him on his chest so I could leave black lipstick marks. It ended up looking really cool!

You can see my lip ring and everything! It was super cool! We tried washing it off but it didn't really come off. You can still see it ;)

Life is always full of surprises. Sometimes the people you least expect become your friends. Sometimes after months of pain, everything will resolve and the one person you never thought would never stop hurting you realizes that he's wrong and that you don't deserve any of it. Sometimes, you make friends in unusual circumstances. Sometimes the unexpected happens.

Arts and Crafts

Yesterday was "Project Sunday" as I like to call it. Normally Brando and I hang out at his Dad's and work on little projects while watching TV and hanging out with his Dad. Then go to his Mom's for supper later. On this particular Sunday, I did not go. I wasn't feeling up to it to be honest. I just wanted to spend time by myself. Which is okay, I mean, everyone needs time to their selves. Alone time is very important, and sometimes Brando and I just need to be apart for a little while. It always makes me appreciate him more when I see him after being away for a while.
I went to my Mom's instead yesterday and worked on my own little project. I woke up yesterday morning with a clear image of a beaded necklace that I had learnt to make 12 years ago. I had forgotten all about that design until yesterday morning. I took it as a sign and went straight to the Bead Hive in the morning. It took a little work getting it started but..it came along nicely.

The second picture is of the finished project. I REALLY like it. It turned out very well. I'll probably post pictures of me wearing it tomorrow some time. I think that's a good idea. Besides, Brando wants to take "sexy" pictures with me wearing it. I guess you can't really tell but it's black and red. It took me around eight hours to finish but I'm very happy with the result. Actually, so happy with it that when I woke up today, I went straight to the mall and bought more beads to make another one. I'm thinking maybe I could sell them? Who knows.
I worked on my new one for a while today. Here's the progress so far:

It's such a happy little project! I'm having so much fun making these! Brando is very happy that I've found a hobby that I like doing.
While I was plucking away at this, Brando painted a picture. I really think that it'll help him feel better about himself. He's been feeling a little off lately and I thought that if he maybe painted a picture, it would force him to be creative and use his imagination. I think it helped.

While we worked on our projects, we watched some movies and chatted a bit. We were both working hard and focusing on our projects but I still ended up with four hickeys! How does that even happen! I hardly even noticed him being a suckerfish. I must have been pretty focused on my work.
With that said, I am off to bed, but before I go, I leave you with this:

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3.

So I decided it was about time I start a blog of my own. I may not be the most interesting person but I'm just doing this for my own benefit. I just figured I'd keep track of things I've done and things I want to remember.

Today, Brando and I went to Sarcan and made out like bandits. About $150 worth of cans and bottles. We got him a couple new Transformers with his share. I bought some milk and ice cream for me and we went to Wendy's for supper. The rest of the money was put into our "Edmonton Funds" jar. It's $100 we didnt have before. Who knows, maybe we'll go to Edmonton sooner then we think.

I'm home along tonight. Brando went to the Lane for Magic. I played last Wednesday for the first time and won 2 of 4 games. Which, I suppose, isn't all that bad for my first time. Brando was so proud of me. Maybe I'll play next week too. Heather was very excited to see me playing; she's such a cool little girl.

Well, quiet evening for me. Had a bath and watched a movie. Now just to wait for Brando to come home...
